Default Blackberry Bold for Verizon

Rumors (BGR) say September for the Bold. Anyone think this is realistic considering the Thunder is guaranteed to be coming out Q3?

Verizon just got the Curve a year after it was originally released. Now suddenly they're going to be unleashing three new BB devices all within 6 months?

I strongly doubt it. This is one of the reasons I finally gave in and switched to AT&T. Once I determined that my coverage was as good as I had with VZW, I made the jump. Now I look forward to new BB releases that are actually new.

Not always. If you're siked too much, you can end up in a state of sikosis.

a.) that rumor was debunked as pure speculation. I would say it's almost a guarantee that you will not see the 9000 on Verizon till 09 (if at all)
b.) the Thunder is not "guaranteed" to come out Q3, especially since it hasn't been announced officially by RIM.

I couldn't agree with you more.
I have Sprint, and as soon as the Bold is out for T-Mo, I'm making the switch.
I hate waiting these long periods of time for a new phone to come to CDMA.

Why would you wait for t-mo, when it will be out first with ATT?

I didn't assign any kind of blame in my post. I simply said I didn't prefer to lag a year behind when my coverage and call quality with AT&T is just as good.

Is there some kind of signal that goes off over your home whenever someone mentions Verizon in their post? ;)

I didnt even quote you so how can you just assume I am attacking. I just made a dad gum comment. Get over yourself. Just because the falcons are huddled up doesnt mean they are talking about you.

You're joking, right? There were a total of two posts prior to yours, and only mine mentioned the Curve and the fact it was released a year later on Verizon. Your post, which came just after mine, stated that it wasn't Verizon's fault the Curve was a year late. So who were you responding to then? Was it just a massive coincidence and due to the chronology of the posts, it only *looks* like you were responding to me?

I guess those talking falcons must have set you off.

P.S. When you respond to something by saying "It's not so and so's fault," that means you're assuming the person you're talking to was assigning blame. Otherwise you wouldn't feel the need to suggest it wasn't their fault. It's basic English.

Anybody who posts a lot here knows that Dawg is a Verizon fanboy. Just accept it and all will be well! There are fans of every device and carrier on every forum ever made. I happen to be a Verizon detractor for instance (been there done that).

Everyone's a fanboy for something on here, but no need to antagonize any of it. I had Verizon for a very long time and they always treated me well and had good coverage, but I left for the better devices that T-Mobile had because I'm a technology geek. GSM gets devices first, that's just how it goes. CDMA devices have to be built and tested separately. Like I said in another thread, if I were still on Verizon, I'd rather wait a long time for something that worked correctly than something that had mediocre function and bugs. When the Bold makes it to Verizon, it will still be just as cool as it was when we were all sitting here drooling over the specs.
