I took the plunge and got the 8GB MicroSDHC card for the 8130 and it works great! I haven't had any problems at all.

Wirelessly posted (8830 World Unlocked: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/104)

New 8830 owner and a 4gb micro works fine on my 4.2.2....now only if I could find some links for apps. Can I just copy MP3's onto the card from my pc and play thru my BB? thanks in advance

There are two pieces of software; Desktop Manager and the Handheld OS. Handheld OS 4.3 for the 8830 is not out yet. That's what is required for the 8GB microSD card. You have downloaded Desktop Manager 4.3.

Hope that helps.

You can install applications on the microSD cards? Or is it just for media?
I have been using the 4GB card in my ALLTEL 8830 for months with no problems.

Just popped a 4GB card into my 8310 and all is well. Missing Sync is cramming music on the card as I type this.
