Is it possible to rearrange the icons on the desktop? I hate scrolling down to the bottom to play "Texas Hold-em".

Try searching for move icons, or order icons, or rearrange icons. All of these will tell you what you want from the many, many, many existing threads on this topic.

Hold down the alt key + push in the scroll wheel and you will get menu options to re-arrrange icons.

You can move the icons, who knew? Now I just wish I could make the ones I don't use go away, or maybe hide them so I don't have to scroll over them
