If I bought a BlackBerry smartphone from the US say AT&T will I be able to put in a foreign sim card and use this blackberry back in my country without any problems?

BlackBerry's are usually locked to a carrier. If you bought the BlackBerry new, you'll need to get the phone unlocked in order to use another carrier's services. The foreign SIM card will work, but if the phone hasn't been unlocked, you won't be able to use the foreign carriers data services. The BB will work on wifi though.

Unless like in my country where it is legally forbidden for providers to apply simlocks
too bad we always pay the full price for each device, like the new 9900 is about 579 euro, which is about 835 USD :-s
