Looks like most are protecting in some way or fashion. I will use no case that stays on the unit while using it. In the very end and the end is not that far away, you will toss your Pearl aside for another. Just the 8800 will cause many to neve be used again.

I know, I know, lets keep it pretty so I can sell it later. In a year your Pearl will not be worth much and it still will be used.

I think you should enjoy your phone, be careful but use it and enjoy it!

I could not agree more. When meeting in the board room, I never see anyon with a black rubber on their phone!

No case. I think the pearl is perfect and delicate and it would be a shame to clutter it up with a case!

Sorry to post a newbie question here, but where can I find this BSE that everyone is talking about? Does it really take 40 minutes to install it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Using my Pearl professionally prompted me to get a Seidio Horizontal Leather belt case. Looks nice, very slim and keeps the pearl handy. I also got the package with the Seidio rubberized case (not the silicon type thing) and think that it looks quite nice too. Since it covers most of the silver edges of the Pearl, it really makes it a lot less flashy and a lot more business like.

But then again, I hate flashy phones at a conference room table. Just makes people look like they are showing off.

Leather case that flips back when open and holds with a magnetized button clip.
Bought it from extremepda.

Sena leather case and screen protector.

Sounds like overkill but I'm hard on mobile devices and this thing needs to last (tightwad boss).

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8100/4.2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I think it would only take one drop to get my Pearl fully clothed.

I like mines too much to change. It is taking a long time for it to stretch though. I've had it for about 3 months now.
