Hey, I just got this phone. First time BB user. I'm with Bell Mobility and no data plan.

I'm just wondering whether my trackwheel is supposed to 'click' or not. Because I'm reading all this info and it says for example when you want to add a new contact or compose a new text message you 'click' the trackwheel. The problem is my trackwheel only scrolls...and the only thing that 'clicks' is the button below it (the escape button?).

I'm just wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if something is wrong with the phone

Also, is there a way to configure the escape button so that it 'clicks?'

Some help would be much appreciated.

You're saying the trackwheel does not push in? Or pushing it in does nothing?

Either way, the trackwheel may be broken. If pushing it in does not cause the action it is supposed to, try a hard reset. That is, with the power on, remove the battery for half a minute.

On the escape button, I don't recall how it behaves as far as a tactile 'click'. But there's no audible click setting, not so far as I recall. If there is, it will be under screen and keyboard settings in options.

Do a search and see if anyone has posted about this and got a solution. I never experienced it, and don't recall anyone posting a fix short of replacing the trackwheel.
