Default BB Torch 9810- Rogers (Data Help)

Please Login to Remove!

So I have a 9810 Torch with Rogers with a 2gb plan shared between 4 phones...I was wondering if I can have gmail app running all the time? I always close twitter and facebook after use, never leaving them running in the background and don't use browser/youtube that much. I want to be able to receive emails instantly, will it take up much data if running in background? Thanks!

What kind of plan are you on? I have a Rogers 9810 with 4 BIS email accounts configured and I have Twitter, Facebook, and WeatherEye always running in the background. I'm on an unlimited BB Messaging plan with 500MB data and double data to bring my total data to 1GB. On average I would say I get close to 30 emails a day and I have yet to come close to being over my data limit.

For email. gmail, etc., you need a BB dataplan. Is that what you are sharing?

I am on a 2gb family plan, unlimited weekends and stuff with unlimited calling b/w 4 phones and MY10 (free calls to any 10 numbers). I may have 2 gb of data or is split between 4 phones but I only have like 8 MB last month :P and if you have 500 MB + extra and haven't come close to limit, I should be just fine.

Oh no I know that, just wondering if 2 gb of data is enough to leave gmail running in the background but if I only racked up 8 MB last month, shouldn't be a problem...I miss my old plan :( it was 3 year data plan, unlimited social networking, made things soo much easier haha
