Hey guys,

I am having problems with updating my blackberry torch 9800. This is what i received when i tried updating it. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it.

Can't say I've ever seen that message before, what version of Desktop Manager are you running?

Did you have Desktop Manager check for updates? If not, do it. Top right, drop down, select Check for Updates or whatever it is.

Yes i had Desktop manager check for updates and it said that i have the latest version. I have version 6.1.0.36

I may be stumped. I've had Desktop Manager say it has to update a component, but it prompts me to continue and then does it. It isn't a full upgrade, just and update of something.

I guess if it were me I would do a clean uninstall (search) and then install again, and then test.

Have you tried clicking the 'Install' button? Then updating normally?

I must have assumed OP did that. Bad assumption, perhaps.

Just trying to cover all the bases, I mean, if the DM asked me to install a module or whatever, I'd just do it. If that was already tried, no choice but to uninstall all BlackBerry/RIM software from the PC. I have bever seen that popup before.
