I damaged my screen on my 7100g and I want to replace it. Can someone give me instuctions on how to do that. Do I have to disassemble the unit from the back. I noticed a couple of screws at the bottom on the rear. Do I start with thoses?

1. start with taking a drink to calm your nerves

2. there should be 4 or 6 screws depending on model

3. unscrew them and remove cover start with the back first (the back and front should come off with no problem as well as the keypad

4. Change the cover and reassemble reversing methods (yes that means take a drink when your finished to calm your nerves)

is there anything on the back that pops off to reveal more screws at the top?
i only see the 2 at the bottom. i'll take another look

On the 7100t, there's a cover over the speaker on the back. You have to pop that off to get to the upper screws (with the battery cover off). The clips on the bottom are what can come free with a little pressure. The top clips are the ones that can't be popped loose.

Where are you getting your replacement screens? I have two 7100t's that were replaced last week due to screen damage (we dropped insurance), and would love to get both of them up and running again.

you have to remove the silver strip above the speaker in the back you can always glue it back on if neccesssary, the screws are beneath that

Alipton! I got da hook up for yas... Got mine apart and new screens ordered, on the way.
