Default Easy install of BBMaps on AT&T/Cingular!

Please Login to Remove!

I didn't see this anywhere else:

If I navigate to blackberry.com/maps on my AT&T pearl, it won't let me download it - tells me it's not available on AT&T.

If I navigate to blackberry.com/maps from internet explorer 6, the install starts, but hangs at 20 percent.

However, I upgraded to internet explorer 7, navigated to blackberry.com/maps and BB maps installed no problem.

I wasn't sure whether it was a fluke or not, so I uninstalled the program from my device and went through the same steps on my work computer, with the same result -- install wouldn't run on IE6, but completed on IE7.

Can someone try this on an AT&T 8800

Blackberry maps installs fine on AT&T 8800 just by going to blackberry.com/maps......They fixed it a couple of weeks ago.

Funny - I tried it from my pearl last night and it said that it was not available for my carrier.

Actually you can install this using the Browswer if you set it to Blackberry emulation I think. At least I did. Takes a bit to run through the java scripts. Also, I am on BES.
