I have not. I can only commiserate with you on the lack of this functionality. Must be BIG $$ to be made in VZNav!

Ditto here, I can't get it to work with BBMaps. I had it working a couple of months ago, but I've been through 2 more phones in the meantime (1 through insurance, new one yesterday from the Verizon Store because the previous one stopped making calls).

I have the 8330 Curve. I went into Advanced Options and made sure that Data Source = "Device GPS" and GPS Services = "Location On" The OS is 4.5.0.77. When I open BB Maps, GPS Source = "Internal GPS" (not sure if this may be the issue). When I try to enable GPS Navigation, I get the "Searching for satellites.." message, but it never finds any or shows me my location.

Like I said, I'd had it working on a previous incarnation of the phone, but it's been a couple of months. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Edit: I have not tried making the changes suggested in the link to HowardForums.

you have to let it sit for a bit to find the sats. And .77 is a very old OS you may want to consider upgrading. I am on .160 on my 8330

Question VZW and Google Maps

Has anyone actually got Google Maps to work with the VZW GPS? I want the precise GPS not the triangulation guestimate. I also prefer Google Maps to other map apps out there.

Any help is appreciated - I'm running an 8330 on VZW with 4.5.0.77 installed.

Thanks.
