Default Help - Enterprise Activation 101

Please Login to Remove!

What is this Enterprise Activation? What is it for? What do I need?

I'm just another regular Verizon wireless user from Verizon using 8703

I wish to achieve wireless sync of contacts...

Please advise...

you must be connected to a BES in order to use that feature. Are you connected through your company? if not then you wont get wireless contact sync. You can check for aftermarket software that allows for OTA sync.

Dear Sith_Apprentice, thank you for your reply,

but what does "BES" stand for?

> Are you connected through your company?
no, so I guess I do not have it - but maybe I can run this software on my own 24/7 server?

> You can check for aftermarket software that allows for OTA sync.
What does OTA stand for? mean? where would I check for such software? how would I use it?

I really appreciate all your help...

Awaiting... thank you once again...

BES stands for Blackberry Enterprise Server.

BES is mainly used in the corporate environment where you can get your work emails on your blackberry. If your have a blackberry personal account this service wouldn't apply to you and it wouldn't work if you tried to activate it anyway.
