my BB was so messed up that i ended up uninstalling the DTM software to try and start over. now i can't find the disk with the DTM software on it. where can i get it (for verizon)? thanks.

Desktop Manager is carrier independent. Download it from https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...93E4F3BB068C22 - select "Desktop Manager v4.2, Service Pack 1".

i did that already, and that's what got me all messed-up. i can't get DTM to come up on my computer at all.

What happens when you try to install it? There is a document (here and on the BlackBerry.com support web site) on how you can completely remove Desktop Manager from the PC.

is device manager different than DTM?

how do i scrap all of the BB software on my computer and just start the heck over??? i'm so frustrated. i haven't been able to sync to my computer in weeks.

Go into Add/Remove and then remove everything that is BlackBerry related.

Then - and you are on your own - go into REGEDIT, and remove the Research in Motion keys. If you are unfamiliar with REGEDIT please don't do this.

There is a document on how to completely remove Desktop Manager but I can't locate it.

Depending on the OS you loaded it should be included.
