My partner is finally upgrading from a 7100 and want to recover her address book. My copy of BB desktop software (running on an intel mac 10.7.5) doesnt recognise the 7100, her mac is a late model PPC mac on 10.6.8.

It seems like I need to find a mac version of BB desktop that is old enough to recognise the 7100 yet new enough to run on 10.6.8

Any pointers would be very welcome

I could not find any reason except the older DM only worked on 32 bit software and that may be one issue. Blackberry suggests upgrading the DM to support the 7100.

As for the 7100, there does not seem to be any reason it should not be seen unless there is a hardware issue.

Hi thanks for the link to build 18 ( I was running b17) in 64bit mode on an intel desktop
I continue to see --not enough cred to post dropbox image --
"The connected BlackBerry(R) device is not supported by BlackBerry Desktop Software"

the cable is good as it will see a 9320 / the software can see that it is a BB

still puzzled
