Default 8310 keeps scrubbing - please help

Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8310 device where the user entered the password incorrectly and the device started to wipe. Following the 'wiping' screen the device started 'scrubbing' which it has been doing overnight. The scrubbing will get to 10% and then drop back to the start.

I have tried re flashing the OS but the Application loader cannot get onto the device. Has anyone got any ideas on how to resolve this please?

Wirelessly posted (8310: BlackBerry8310/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Download JL_cmdr and wipe the device manually. Then reinstall the OS. I would give you the link, but I am mobile right now.

Sorry and good luck.

Is there any way to prevent this scrubbing from happening again once I need to wipe a device? Is there a setting I can change under options so when its wiped it will not scrub?

To prevent scrubbing you have to disable Content Protection in the Options, Security Options, General Settings. Once Content Protection is disabled you can wipe the device without it going into the scrubbing mode.
