I dropped my beloved Bold the other day and it left a line starting at about 10 o'clock (site of impact) to about 4 o'clock on the LCD. Anything above the line displayed just fine but below it was all white. The phone worked normally only I couldn't see where I was navigating. I ordered a screen off ebay stating it was a new ATT OEM LCD and I just finished putting it in.

The entire screen shows colors, only problem is that it is just one color. It starts off all white with a thin gray vertical bar in the center and as it boots the entire screen turns to a pale yellow (I can only assume that this is the orange ATT splash screen). Finally once loaded it shows varying shades of gray which would be my theme that has a gray background. The phone still functions but now I can't see anything.

I noticed that the numbers and the circuit pattern on the plug were different than the screen I had. My question is, are there different OEM Bold screens, like hardware versions? Do you guys think this screen is toast or just not compatible with the phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think the cable attach to the LCD is a different from the OEM one, try going to cnn.cn and order one from there... i've order one from there and no problem cause and it works PERFECT or it might be the phone itself that cause it when you droped it... try to get it up like new... and try to get a replacement from AT&T
