Default Intellisync Internal Error

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user that gets the following error
INTERNAL ERROR (SEE LOGS)
This occurs when he starts Blackberry Desktop Manager and selects INTELLISYNC. It seems to occur when trying to initialise the intellisync user.
None of the information on the blackberry KB seems to help.
Can anyone assist?

Does the log show anything?

Edit to add...

The logs should be located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\Useraccountname\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Intellisync

The log doesn't mention anything about an error. Just shows the items that were synchronised.

In that case, I don't know. I've never had an error with mine, but hopefully someone here will know. Good luck.

I may have spoke to soon.
When looking at the LOG from within Desktop Manager itself, it says nothing.
I've attached the PtTRACE Log file to my first post

I'm looking at the log, but I don't know what the cause of the error is. Has the user ever been able to sync without getting errors? Does he have the latest upgrade of the Desktop Manager for his BB model? Do you know if it's configured correctly? Maybe it would be worthwhile to uninstall the Desktop Manager and re-install it. Just some thoughts until someone who knows more than me comes along.

Maybe there is something useful in these search results:

BlackBerry Search Results

I went here:
BlackBerry - BlackBerry Support | Knowledge Base, Product Documentation Software & Support Programs and searched for "intellisync internal error".

Default Internal Error (see log)

I'm getting the same problem and have tried the same fixes to no avail. Anybody else know what might be the problem?

Default Check Device State

Hi everyone,

The blackberry could be in a "bad device state" - have you tried removing the battery or one better perform a Wipe Handheld. Install BDM on another computer, i.e. friends or family and try to sync on theirs, if you cant sync on theirs, you know its the handset thats causing the issue. Just a way you can rule out the computer or the blackberry.
