Default No More Treo

Please Login to Remove!

I got a Treo 600 a couple days ago. It only took me a couple days to decide to switch to a Blackberry. Hopefully my new Blackberry family here can help me out. (once I get one)

That is where your own preference will come into play

There are a few differences between the two devices but it all boils down to:

Size vs. Suretype/Qwerty

I went from a 8700c (love the qwerty, hated the size) to the 7130c (Loved the size, hated the suretype) to the 8100 (Loved the camera, still hated the sure type) and now looking into the 8703e...which I have decided I will deal with the size, because I get my qwerty keyboard.

You will see so many 8700c vs. 7130c threads, but they all really boil down to preference.

I'd suggest the Pearl or the 8700 series.

Welcome to the forums..

If you want a smaller form factor and can deal with suretype then go with the 8100... If you want qwerty and don't care about the form factor then go with the 8700

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Welcome to the Forums and the stability of the BB. Had a 600 and 650. Get used to not crashing. Like LunkHead said, if you can hang and get used to the SureType the 8100 is for you. 8700 is more like the Treo with the full keyboard. I had the 7105t with TMO and ST and was able to be pretty quick with the typing.

VU HEO,
Welcome to the forums,
Do you have a "Blackberry Data Plan"? You need a Blackberry Data Plan in order to have GPRS on the Blackberry. Other cell phone data plans will not work. Without a BB data plan you will only have gprs or GSM.
