Default Want to buy a new Blackberry Need INPUT PLEASE

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I am a current PPC user, and I really want to switch over to RIM.
I am looking at the Blackberry 8320 and pretty much have my mind set on it.

One question though,
I came across a link to a seller who is going to be selling the phone Brand New in box (or so he advertises) for $290.

BlackBerry Curve 8320 phone

His email address is [email address]

Any input ?
He will NOT take payments via PayPal.
This is the biggest issue for me and I am not sure what to do. $290 is a great deal for the 8320 brand new, but I am skeptical about this transaction.

I would pass unless it is possible to make a local cash exchange. They are selling open box for $250 in Atlanta, but they are shady as well. Brand new no box???

LOL ! and its in Atlanta ;)
Don't get me wrong I love ATL I go from North Jersey every year to NOPI Nationals at the ATL Motor Speedway.

I drive down with the SuperStreet Tour.

Anyone know where else I can get the phone relatively cheap? And something secure and legit?

why not just upgrade via T-Mobile. They have an early upgrade program that is a sliding scale. The longer you have had your current device the cheaper the price on the new one. At least check with them first to see a price before you go buying from a shady dealer

Sounds very interesting. I got my phone in October '07 I think lol
I change phones very frequently. I had a Verizon Samsung PPC from August to Sept. Then bought the TMO Wing and then now I want to change to the Blackberry. I should have gone with the Blackberry, but I guess the touchscreen is what sold me. PPC's are very powerful devices, but not worth it for its lack in reliability.

you will see PPCs will lose their luster with 4.5. I used to upgrade my device every 90-120 days with Tmo

I can ask for the 2year contract upgrade even if I've been with T-Mo for only a few months?

Okay. Called Tmobile CService.
They said they will send me out a BB 8320 for $350 if I renew my 2 year contract with them.
Does that price seem fair?
I have no problem renewing my contract with Tmobile.

That seems a bit steep to me, but then again if you haven't been with them long, that may be the reason. I got a new 8830 from Sprint in Nov and only paid $150 with a 2 year contract renewal.

shrugs. I can save about $20.00 a month with the UMA feature on the phone, that is if it works lol. I've heard much rumor about some issues with that feature. I should receive my BB TUESDAY !!!
