OK... this may work...

I found this and copied from "another" forum. Run this before running the DM install:

regsvr32 vbscript.dll

Run this command from the command prompt as Administrator.
So go to Start->All Programs -> Accessories. Right-click on Command prompt. Select "Run as Administrator". At the command prompt use the above command.

If this doesn't work, I give up.

OK. Unless you know your CD is DM 4.2SP1, you might want to use the installer you downloaded from blackberry.com since DM 4.2SP1 is the official Vista-compatible package.

Schneider we need more info than that error. Are you running a 64-bit chip with WinVista 64bit, also what version Ultimate, Enterprise, ??

Any other syncing apps?

Ok. The downloadable version off of blackberry.com is 4.2.1.8 (Jan 16 2007). Now that you know how to get it installed, you may want to upgrade DM to the latest version.
