Im getting familiar with the Zen theme on my 7100t. Jibi, very nice work, this is definitely an enhancement. I am finding that I can't move/hide menu items the way I could with the icons and list items on other themes. Does anyone know if this truly the case, or am I (as usual) not executing correctly?

Has anyone more resourceful than me found a way to make this work on the 7100i? Nextel's most recent release is 4.1.0.136.

BB Dimension-Zen shows up in my application list, but not when I go to themes.

Nextel needs to hurry up with the update.

it won't work with the 7100i or the 7130e with their current OS revisions - only the GSM 7100g/r/t/v/x (sheesh, there's a lot of brandings)

Thanks jibi. I gathered that from the rest of the thread, but I was hoping someone had pulled a rabbit out of their hat.

I have the 7100t T-Mobile. I tried several times to install the 7100 Zen theme, no luck. I've had OS 4.1.0.256 for a long time now and its run fine. when I try to upgrade to .300 it says "no additional applications for your device were found" so I'm stuck at .256

whazup with this?

Yeah! it works great. I updated the OS to .292 or whatever, worked like a charm, just a little slow in the begining like everyone said. The more I used it, the better it is. THANKS JIBI!

I've read this thread and the one for upgrading the OS. I want to go to .300 on my 7100r but the download says chinese, the multilang isn't .300. Can I use the .300 and manage or will the whole thing be in chinese?

i certainly can't read chinese, so its okay...

...the chinese is just an optional language pack that comes with the OS - its otherwise completely english.

I have a Tmo 7100t. Installed 4.1.0.300 and Zen... everything is running fine. Only thing is my call logs get deleted incoming and outgoing. When I miss a call it shows me the phone number, but minutes later if I check to see the number(s) again it's gone. Anyone else experiencing this problem or know how to fix it?

I am under the assumption that this theme is NOT supported on earlier OS versions (lack of 'Enhanced' theme support, past assumptions based on Cingular's OS 4.1 for the 8700 and the Zen theme, lack of the Dimension themes with version .210, etc). Since that is the case, I have not updated all of the BlackBerry.alx files in my other thread - only that of the 7100 GSM .300 code. I have included an alternate means of installing this theme (below at the end) for those users with a 7130e or 7100i, as well as those 7100 GSM users who have the earlier OS 4.1 software installed (THIS MAY NOT WORK DUE TO THE AGE OF THE OS VERSION!)...

Instructions:
- Download BlackBerry.alx file for CSL 4.1 (version .300 only): Click Here
* Note: ALX file has just been updated to support this theme.
* Second Note: Please do NOT post questions in the thread linked above. Thanks.
- Extract BlackBerry.alx to installation path:
Installation Path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\7100-v4.1.0.292_P1.8.0.143
- Download Zen theme file from: Click Here
- Extract net_rim_theme_bb_dimension_zen_240x260.cod from the ZIP file to the Java directory under the installation path:
Java Path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\7100-v4.1.0.292_P1.8.0.143\Java
- Open Desktop Manager and it should now prompt you to update the Core Applications.

Alternate Instructions (Java Loader):
- Download Zen theme file to your Desktop: Click Here
- Extract net_rim_theme_bb_dimension_zen_240x260.cod to your Desktop.
- Download and unzip JavaLoader.exe to your Desktop from the attached JavaLoader.zip
- Click on Start then Run and type CMD and click OK
- This should bring up a command-prompt at C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\
- Type the following:

cd Desktop <enter> (don't type <enter> - just push it)
JavaLoader.exe -u load net_rim_theme_bb_dimension_zen_240x260.cod <enter>

* Note: Here is an example of the DOS/command-prompt:

C:\Documents and Settings\username>cd desktop

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Desktop>

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Desktop>JavaLoader.exe -u load net_rim_theme_bb_dimension_zen_240x260.cod

read the instructions? not sure how to get any more black/white than that. the BlackBerry.alx file references the Zen theme and will load it to the handheld.

I replaced the original BlackBerry.alx with the new linked one. The old one was 100k+ the new one is 90something. Moved the cod file also. But I never get a prompt for updating when starting desktop manager. Should I have deleted the original BlackBerry.alx, restarted, connected, then put in the new BlackBerry.alx then restarted/connected?

Javaloader works fine though. Only problem with it is whenever I load an app via apploader my theme gets reset and Zen is removed from the theme list. I just have to run the javaloader each time.

Worked like a champ! Thanks HuwSy! FYI for those who have recently downloaded the Zen theme...it really does get faster, with fewer 'hourglasses", the more you use it. Don't get discouraged if it seems slow at first.

Haven't noticed this in call logs, but my SMS/MMS messages do the same thing ( and yes, I do check the SMS/MMS messages icon). Have learened to read them fast!

I see in your signature you are using TMO as well. I wonder if this is a TMO problem that coincedently is going on as we figured out how to get Zen on the 7100. I switched back to BB Insight Icon (default) theme and I am watching to see if the call logs still dissapear. If they do, then it is a problem with TMO and not the Theme. Just an idea since that makes 3 of us using tmobile with that issue.
