Default Protective skins question

Please Login to Remove!

Hi. I'm awaiting delivery of a protective skin for my 8900 (bestskinever) and was wondering if the device would still fit in the BB wallet that came with it. It's already a pretty tight fit and I'm a little concerned that with a skin on it, the device won't fit anymore. Cheers, D

Usually with skins you cant get it into the holster.
I can only assume the theory of RIM is, you either use one or the other and not both.

Ah, i was afraid of that. I'm have various settings that come into play when i holster the thing and I didn't really want to lose that. May just put the screen bit of it on and hope it still fits.

a screen protecter i.e. a "lens" type screen protector will fit no problem.
but a silicone skin or otherwise, you're not likely to get it into the holster.

Thanks. Guess I'll just have to try when it arrives. At worst I'll have only wasted about $10 (£6).

Just tried it and it was nearly impossible to pull out of the stock case with the BSE full body skin on. However, it works great with this BB-branded swivel holster:

Amazon.com: BlackBerry Leather Swivel Holster for BlackBerry 8900 (Black): Cell Phones & Service

Also, these little adapters are great if you already have a bunch of mini-usb chargers/cables and want to use them with the micro-usb port on the 8900:

Amazon.com: OEM Motorola MicroUSB USB EMU MU Adapter for RAZR2 V8 V9 V9m Q9h model SKN6252: Cell Phones & Service
