Looks like the AT&T 8900 shipped with this OS. . . it's on their downloads page now.

No matter what I do, I can't get this to download. . . It stalls anywhere in between 26 and 33mb. . . Maybe RIM is having server issues? I'll try .239 for now and see what happens. If nothing else I guess I'll try to get .231 tomorrow. . .

Download went flawless, install went good with exception of Facebook not reinstalled. I had to make three attempts at getting Facebook on it. On my second attempt, Facebook appeared but once I rebooted it disappeared. For the last 24 hours here are some of the performance results:

Battery life- does seem better than before, that is with me running music player for about 1 hour, youtube for 30 minutes, surfing web off and on for about an hour, application use (Olive Tree, Facebook, JabpLite, Project Manager, Viigo, calender, calculator) about an hour total.

I need to do some more testing without any device to computer hookup at all and report back.

i had read that the battery life was supposed to be better than .206 but after 11 hours of minimal use, im already at 1/3 batt life, and way too many problems with bb messenger going back to .206

Default Battery Life

Day Three of upgrade; I would consider myself just short of a power user but I do put my handhelds through constant load. Yesterday and today battery went down to 35% after about 13 to 14 hours of use. If I didn't use the web, GPS and Media Player it would probably last 24 hours with no problem. I am impressed that I have been able to listen to music for about an hour and 45 minutes today without recharging the phone. I used BB Maps, Trapter and GoodFoodNearYou throughout the day but not real heavy. I also had talk time of about 33 minutes. I would think that setting the phone at bedtime mode at 35% I would have gotten to 24 hours with no problem. For what it is worth, I haven't really owned my BB long enough to really tell the difference from the last version.

Hmmm. The links to the AT&T version don't seem to work for me. Anyone else have this problem?

Just tried both of the AT&T links posted above and get an error message as well.

However, I have the following bookmark for AT&T downloads and it works: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...E4F82F9F00E7D4
Select the 8900 from the menus. You will then have the option to download either the Multilanguage version or the East Asia version.

After multiple tries with both links posted in this thread, I can't download this update. It partially downloads and then fails. This is nothing new though. Typical RIM inadequate servers...

Default changing birthday on a contact causes freeze

"first problem ever with a OS: I tried 2 times modifying a contact by including a birth date. Both times the phone freeze and the only solution was to pull the battery out."

I've noticed the same behavior with OS rel317 (4.6.1.206), with birthdays and anniversaries, sometimes when you change these values on a contact the phone seems to freeze for a couple of seconds, then occasionally goes to the white screen with some error code and RESET highlighted, which I then select to restart.

I upgraded to this latest OS yesterday from factory-installed 114 (I'm pretty sure, anyway). I hadn't noticed any major issues until today when I attempted to send an MMS/picture. When I add picture, to move up in the file directory, I MUST use menu > up - just clicking on the highlighted 'up' above the sample thumbnails takes me to a completely different program (friends timeline on UberTwitter). When I use the menu and select the desired image, it says "Message content size exceeds limit". Funny that that happens with a picture I took WITH the phone. Attempting MMS through the Media app gives the same result. Anyone else having this issue or capable of offering a solution?
