Default Bluetooth headsets and ebay

Please Login to Remove!

If you search for bluetooth headsets on ebay, you'll find ones that are normally priced around the $100 mark being sold for approximatelly $30.

I'm wondering if you think some of these sites are legit? I have no experience on ebay and didn't want to get ripped off on deals that seem too good to be true.

Thanks.

Check the seller's feedback. Also, how much is shipping? I've seen stuff that's normally $100 being sold for $30, but then shipping is 70 bucks.

Feedback in the high 90's should be fine. Yes....and definitely shipping. Like above....it could be $30 but shipping could be $70.

Have any of you bought headsets from ebay?

Here is a link to one of the ads I found:
cgi.ebay.com/H700-Bluetooth-Headset-for-Motorola-V3-V3i-V710-L6-BLUE_W0QQitemZ190067767197QQihZ009QQcategoryZ13322 9QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It has good feedback and shipping is less than $11.

Although, I'm wondering if I can use any bluetooth headset for my BB 8100 and not specific for a BB 8100.

I ask this because the link says that the headset is for a motorola v3, v3i, etc.

Thanks.

I had an H700 and it crapped out on me. The mic boom (arm that you flip open to talk) broke on me. it also busted on my friends. But my wife has hers and it's still working like a champ. the moto h700 pairs up to the pearl with no problems. just have to be careful with the mic ....but just my 2cents.

There's a lot of counterfiet stuff on ebay, particularly electronics.
Use caution and do your homework.

I bought my gps (holux 236b) unit, my jabra c220s headset and I just ordered the lense cover for my 8700c off ebay. I have no issues whatsoever with my buys.....I haven't received my lense cover yet though, but I just bought it on Friday (12/30).

I have bought numerous items on ebay and luckily I haven't bought anythig that I'd really regret. keep in mind that you get what you pay for...
btw, I got my RIM HS-655 from a reputable seller on ebay for less than $90 and I'm very happy wit' the purchase.

I actually bought an H700 from him. Now it says he is not a registered user. Hmm...file a dispute? I'll give him a few days to see if I receive the package.

I know they come in various colors. (or is that only the pirated ones?)

About pirated H700s, I want to say that you are right because the picture that was posted on the listing did seem like it was a cheap copy of the H700. I guess I get what I pay for.

Well the seller I bought from is no longer a registered user so I have a feeling the item won't get shipped. Filing a dispute via Paypal time

Oh yeah, I remembered seeing the Gold color one in TMob store too, it looks ulgy IMO but the price is double than my H700.

I checked on Motorola web site, it has red and purple colors too indeed.

That's good. As long as it does its job and work out great, who cares what it is as long as the price is great. Sometimes the pricy original one doesnt work out as good as the pirated one.

Well the seller refunded me but also stated that the product was shipped. I'll check it out once I receive it and see if it breaks on me. If not, I'll pay him again.

I purchased a Plantronics bluetooth headset from eBay & have been using almost a year w/no problems.

I only purchase electronics from sellers in North America that have 97% and higher feedback. Electronics items sometimes have problems, would prefer to deal w/someone in the same country even if it means paying more than the 'lowest price'.

There are a lot of fake H700's currently out on the market. One tell tale sign is the black model. Motorola does not make a black h700. Also it has one of the higher return rates out of bluetooth headsets right now. This is coming from sellers on Amazon.

From what I have been hearing the Plantronics Voyager 510 is one of the most solid headsets out. It looks a bit larger but is extremely light. Also, cancels out wind noise. Retail is around 100.00 but you can find them for as low as 46.00.
