Appointments have been set as recurring appointments, but now when I go to delete, most appointments do not give the "Delete The Series? option.

It should be noted also that the double arrows no longer show.

I can delete one appointment on one specific day but never the series..

I only use the Blackberry installed calendar.

I tried deleting from my bridged Blackberry Playbook but got the same results...nothing.

Any ideas?

First, try a battery pull while your BlackBerry is running. That may sort it out, no fuss no muss.

When you open one of these recurring appointments, double-check that it's not associated with a different calendar. Sometimes BlackBerrys create a "device default" calendar even though you have a different one set as your default. As soon as you create an email account you have a calendar for that account. That's how you can get multiple calendars without even realizing it.

If the stubborn appointment is associated with a different calendar than your default one, go into Options > Advanced Options > Default Services and set your default calendar to that one on which the appointment was created. Then try to cancel it.

Thanks! I have 10 business email addresses and most were associated with a different colors, but only one was associated with the blue color shown on appointments.

ALL email addresses are no longer associated with the calendare.

However, I still cannot delete the SERIES appointments. They were set up as a series, but now look as individual appointments, but on every day of the week.

Frustrating.......and I did pull the battery per ur suggestion.

Dont know what else to do ..... been an issue for over 6 months now.

Options > Advanced Options > Default Services and set default calendar to to one email address that is use with bberry communications.

Dont know which email addresses were associated with the various appts.
No option to set calendar DEFAULT w an email. Default just shows a box color.

i would clear the calendar database(s) using Desktop Manager and then selectively restore it from backup or resync.

Don find options in Desktop for clearing calendar....Just CONFIGURE SETTINGS and RESET SETTINGS. Calendar Set UP>>Select a desktop application >> Yahoo or ASCII Importer/Exporter.. ??

I am giving up...too much time invested in such a simple thing that just does not work the way it should...seems so basic......
