Sorry for this stupid question, but where do I download a legit version of the 4.2 for the AT&T 8700? I have 4.3 of the desktop software, but nowhere on Blackberry's site or AT&T's site do I see the device software upgrade. Thanks!

OK, thanks. I'll follow that up with one more potentially stupid question: why am I about to use a European T-Mobile link? Doesn't AT&T officially support 4.2? Seems strange to follow that route to upgrade? Do I even want to then? Thanks in advance.

That is the latest most up to date version of 4.2. You can use which ever flavor you decide, but you are not tied to the AT&T version, if you choose you want one with litle more advancement.

I don't know why you think AT&T does not "support" or even have 4.2 for the 8700 on their website, they do, I just looked
