Arrow BES / Outlook / Blackberry *mail deletion* interactions

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I am somewhat confused by the precendence enforced when it comes to mail archiving and deletion on a BES-enabled Blackberry. I am using a hosted exchange account on ExchangeMyMail with a BB Curve 8310 and Outlook 2007.

My preferred scenario:
Mail is preserved only for 2 months on the BB.
If I delete mail from the BB, it should delete from Outlook and vice-versa.
Mail older than 2 months is moved "offline" from the Exchange server and archived into a local PST file (ExchangeMyMail has a 1GB limit on my account)

My settings:
On BB:
messages->options->keep email 60 days
message synch->delete on->mailbox + handheld

In Outlook:
autoarchive set on INBOX folder to autoarchive stuff older than 60 days

At this time I am not 100% sure this is working. I would love to get some advice or if someone can point me somewhere that this kind of stuff is documented, great. Because I am confused and the most important thing to me is NOT losing any email.

guess I just wanted to make sure this was a "valid" configuration. Is this how other people are doing it too? I just wanted some validation. I feel like a bunch of emails were deleted from my Outlook when the BB hit it's "60 day mark" but I can't really confirm this, it's difficult to know. So I was wondering if, when the BB starts "dropping" old messages, do they simply get dropped from the phone? I mean, it doesn't reach out to the BES server and tell BES to delete those messages from the INBOX as well does it?? That would be crazy.

When email hits the 60 day mark it deletes off the BB only. You have to delete messages yourself for them to be deleted from your Outlook as well.
