Default Problem with tethering my bold to laptop

Please Login to Remove!

I have read the FAQ and understand what its telling me to do but I can't get my laptop to see the bold attached to the laptop as a modem.

I have the most recent version of D Manager and can see a folder for modem drivers in the Reasearch In Motion file folder but can't get it to work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

DM is up and running? Are you attempting to query the modem at this time? XP or Vista?

DM is running and BB is connected, its XP on this laptop, I am following the steps for the tether but I cant get it to show up as a modem.

Do the modem files usually install when DM is installed?

Am I missing something?

Wirelessly posted (8100 Strike 2)

The modem files should install with the dm. You can try re installing.

When plugged in does it show the battery charging? Is the laptop recognizing the BB at all when plugged in?

I had the same problem.

I repaird the DM installation and the Standard Modem came up.

Just try to reinstall DM and when it says MODIFY, REPAIR or DELETE select REPAIR.

Hope it works for you as well.
