To my knowledge, the card is formatted with FAT16. This means they would need to modify the storage format to allow larger sizes.

Does any one know of an application we can use to view the media card while on the Pearl? I hate connecting to my laptop to view the files in the directories I created outside of the Music, Pics and the like.

I have a directory for Documents, storing Word files and the like...

I thought our phones didnt read the 2GB cards?

I got my pearl in hopes of consolidating my 7290 and mp3 player, and was a little disappointed when i saw that it didnt come with a headphone jack. the rep at the Rogers store told me the jack in the side on the top/left was a stereo headphone jack that was for using with headphones. i guess the $7/hr highschool drop out was just trying to get me to buy it, and would have said it washes my car on the weekend too if it got him the sale.

i may go to radio shack first and get one if they have it. it may cost more there but at least i can return it if it doesn't work the way i want.
