I was chatting with a sprint representative this morning and she told me that in her system the release date for the new blackberry is 1/11/2009. I in turn told her that I have been trying to pre order with Vazcom (didn't tell her the name) and their release date is still 12/15/2008. Can some body please give us a real release date that we can stay or go because this 7100i stopped being appealing long time ago.

That is why I went to sprint, my contract was up in August and I was hearing September for the release date of the 8350i, and I am glade I did not wait and I now have a 8330. I miss the PPT and the clear voice calls but nothing else. If nextel gets a Bold I will go back to nextel. Go over to sprint if you would like a Curve and you have 30 day to return the phone when the 8350i comes out. My wife has a 7100i with issues and they are send me a new 7100i to replace it, If could have got a release date out of the sales rep yesteday 12/10 I would have up graded then.

From what I have gathered via my rep and from the web is that 12/15 is still a good day for telesales and online...1/11 is the date for in store sales.

TELUS Mobility in Canada told me that the phone now won't be released up here until January.

Looks like I may have to start searching for another carrier because This 7100i is getting raggedy by the second and drop calls like crazy.

I too was waiting for the 8350i. My contract was up in August of 2008. I did not want to wait any longer for Nextel to come out with the new phone. I switched to ATT and have the Curve. I miss the PTT but other than that, I have alot better service and a phone that does a whole lot more.
