Hello everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know that I've updated my mp3 website. All mp3's are Categorized. Take a look and let me know if any of you want me to add a mp3 on the site. Sorry, I removed all the adp files, but if you want to borrow any mp3 from my site and convert it, your welcome to do so. Let me know if you need any new tones. Enjoy
Great site btw . . .

I was wondering if I could request "A Golden Boy Again" also known as "Up She Rises" (even known as "Early Dawn") for a ringtone . . .

The song is pretty popularly known for its use in several NFL Films . . .

But it's more mistakenly known as the "Drunken Sailor" song used in NFL films . . .

Anyways . . .

Thanks in advance

The reason some people are having problems to download these tones, is because their Network Providers have capped the download. Some providers have a limit of 100k, others 150k. I have also heard of other providers round the world who have no cap, and can download 250k files on their BlackBerry. This is regardless of whether your device is on BIM or BES. .

A little help please. Just got my hands on an 8700 (upgrade from 7100). Having trouble downloading ringtones (which I was able to do sucessfully on my 7100). Once I attempt to download the ringtone I get a 406 error which states the page I am trying to load is not supported by the browser.

I've tried changing my browser config to solve the problem but no luck. Any idea's.

Where are you downloading from?

Have you tried www.tuneusin.com?

Thanks... tried your site and got one to go (fyi a several other attempts were unsucessful - came back with a 413 error - Request Entity Too Large)

Others sites I tried (but got the 406 Error) include, LuckyLuciano, adamdaley, ldmstudio. Does the 8700 support .apd files? Perhaps thats the problem.

Requesting full-length versions of the standard Nextel alerts and ringtones in MIDI format. I have always found Nextel alerts and ringtones to be particularly intrusive and perfect at the same time.

Default cannot download wallpapers, themes & pics

Hello all

Since yesterday I'm the proud owner of the BB 8700 in combination with BIS.
My email works very well, the phone and the BB too.
The only problem I have is: I cannot download any theme, picture, wallpaper from mobile.blackberry.com/......

When I try to download one of these I get the message:

"Ringtone downloads require BB device software version 3.7 or higher"
or
"Wallpapers are currentle unavailable for monochrome displays Blackberry devices or devices with software version less than 3.8.

I've already contacted my service provider (Mobistar, Belgium): they haven't put any limitations on my 8700. They suggested me to download and install a sw-upgrade, wich I did:

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.1.0.224

Package Version: 4.1.0.224
Consisting of:
Applications: 4.1.0.266
Software Platform: 2.0.0.111
....

But it didn't help....

Can someone help this newbee please?

Thanks alot

The problem you are describing is usually caused by using the WAP browser. Make sure you are using the Internet Browser when trying to download Themes and Ringtones. Try going to Options/Advanced Options/Browser and set your Default Browser to Internet. Do a Cold Re-Boot (battrey out, wait 15 - 30 secs, battery in) then go to the sites and try again.

Hope this helps.

Thx Rcbjr.
I went to Options/Advanced Options/Browser but couldn't change the standardconfiguration. It was for the browser and the wapbrowser fixed to Orange World (Mobistar, belgium, no sim-lock).

I went to other websites as millenniastudio dot com slash blackberry dot html (BlackBerry Themes from Millennia Studio) and have downloaded the Plazmic Theme Reader and the MacBerry and this works fine.

I think RIM is unable to detect its own Blackberries...

When going to the Blackberry site are you using the link in your browser bookmarks or from somewhere else? Try using This Link. If that doesn't work, I think your provider might not have properly activated your Internet Browser. I had no problem getting the themes off the Blackberry HELP site once I used the Internet Browser.

Hope this helps.

Cool 7130 MP3 Save Issues

I am able to navigate to, dowload, and play mp3 files on my unlocked Blackberry 7130 running on the T-Mobile network. When the media player launches, I get a play, stop, and options button. When I click on the options button, the only save option that I get is to save the page which places a link in my message folder. I have enabled the "Support Embedded Media" and "Support JavaScript" in the Browser Configuration section, registered the device on the network (again), got new Service Books, and restarted the device. Any other ideas?

Thanks.

helenfan, i have the same problem as you. we cannot save ringtones to our 7130s because we only have the wap browser on our devices and the wap browser is limited in what you can do with it. i have tried downloading other browsers but neither opera nor minuet allows me to save ringtones either. if someone could please shed some light on this issue, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
