app can't call webservice by wifi

Hi all,
i am quite new for blackberry app development, recently i am doing a project for Microsoft in which i need to call a web service to get data. but i only can call the web service when my phone connect to internet by mobile network but wifi, i tried to google it for solution, but still don't have any bright yet. does anyone encounter the same problem before? any suggestion will be appreciated in advance.
