I was using a photo that I took with the bold as my wallpaper. After I moved it to the bb memory vs the media card, there was a noticeable improvement in battery life.

I was recently in Quebec for a few days, and there was no signal where I was. No msgs or calls came through. My battery usually lasted about 8-10 hours, but while in the wilderness, it lasted about 4 hours.

Thank goodness, I found the suggestion about moving the photo to the bb memory.

Now I just have to remember to move any photos to my bb memory if I want to use them as wallpaper.

Yes, that's what I figured was going on. I should have just shut it off, while out of range.

I also noticed that my battery charger got extremely hot, as did my bb when charging it. I haven't noticed that to be a problem since.
