Default "Delete Prior" Doesn't Delete Mail From Server

Please Login to Remove!

We are running BES 4.1 along with Novell Groupwise 8. I usually get several emails from Nagios overnight (our network monitoring software) that I usually just delete when I wake up in the morning. Instead of scrolling through each one and deleting individually, I "search sender" to filter all Nagios emails, then I "delete prior". The messages are removed from my handheld, but the messages are retained in my mailbox. I have "Delete On" set to Mailbox and Handheld. Deleting messages one at a time will remove them from both the mailbox and handheld, but "Delete Prior" only removes from handheld. Is this normal?

By design.

Thanks for the reply. I can certainly understand why that is by design.

Filter as you normally would and then hold the shift key and scroll. That will highlight all of the messages, then delete. That will delete off of the handheld and the server (if you have it set that way).
