Don, I agree, the active "save" acceptance or even "...saving..." upon exit as the native alarm does on the latest OS version is a good idea... it keeps the OCD in me from having to re-open the app to check it!

The "latest" OS doesn't say "Saving......" That's in a beta!

The latest OS just saves without having to do anything. I kind of liked that.

Just downloaded the trial.. it looks really awesome, definitely purchasing it. I love that it even has a bell icon when you set an alarm, I didn't see that with MyAlarm.

hi there, how about adding this feature to the app:

*countdown til next alarm.

for example - alarm @ 7:00am, 6:33 mins remaining

*Also, how about no snooze under options??
*How about one key quick access for quick alarm, etc.

thanks

velocity92c: I don't see the little bell icon on the blackberry home screen when I set the alarm. (I have a US Verizon 8830.) Where are you seeing the bell icon?

This is a feature that I want a lot that MyAlarm didn't provide.

Well, I'm a dufus, because I didn't realize I still had my BB stock alarm set. I disabled it and the bell disappeared. Sorry about that.

Good idea!...My main motivation for allowing you to quick-exit and automatically save was so that there is no hassle when setting alarms. It's a constant source of frustration for me that the native BlackBerry applications prompt you to confirm everything you do.

However, I can see that some sort of visual feedback to say "Hey, I'm saving your stuff!" would be handy...Will have a tinker and see what we can put in

Unfortunately due to restrictions with the BlackBerry OS it is not currently possible for any third-party application developer to do this. The moment RIM lets us do it, I'll put it in

This is probably the best of the third party alarm programs I've checked out. One frustration (and I'm wondering if it's a RIM limitation)... When an alarm triggers, if the BB's in lock mode, you have to unlock it before you can disable the alarm. The fact that you don't have to "unlock" the BB is the one thing that I like about the native RIM alarm.

Also the native bb alarm turns your phone on to play the alarm, this doesn't.

It would be awesome if this app enabled the alarm set indicator on the homescreen. Is this possible?
