Default Email and Browser on 7250

Please Login to Remove!

I hope I'm posting this in the right section.

I have a 7250 using the Verizon wireless network.

The signal indicator on my 7250 displays "Lx" and therefore I cannot receive emails or use the browser.

How do I get it to display "LX" so I can receive emails and use the browser?

well i'm going from my experience with the bell mobility blackberries, but it sounds like your BB is only connecting to the lower digital band instead of the full 1X service. for us the lower band is indicated by 1x (with the lower case x) and it does to some extent impede our email and browsing. but have you had full 1X before and it's just gone down recently and stayed down, even if you're in your usual coverage areas where you dont have problems? or are you in an area where reception is a bit sketchy? the only time i saw this happen in what's usually a full 1X area was when our 1X network went down for part of a day.

bosamar - I assume that at one point you were able to get "1X" and receive e-mails, right?

If so, first thing I would do is pop out the battery and put it back in. See if that helps.

I've had my BB 7250 for about six weeks now. The "LX/1X" (full capability) has worked fine previously. It just died on me about a week ago and has not come back.

I am based in Los Angeles and travel across the U.S. alot. I've been to Washington DC, Baltimore, and Chicago and it has worked fine.

I took the battery out and reseated it. Now it works fine. NJBlackBerry you're a genius! My ADP people at work could not figure it out! THANK YOU!

The "Pull The Battery Out Trick" is the solution to just about every BB problem.
No e-mails coming in? pull the battery out
Internet not connecting? pull the battery out
Love life a little slow... (naw....I didn't).
One thing that I've found (on my 6750...haven't had the chance with my 7250) is if I travel across areas where there isn't signal...subway, god's country, etc. and the signal comes in and out repeatedly, it will act like you were describing. If I know I'm going to be experiencing that, I turn the wireless connection off, and it's fine. If I forget...I pull the battery out...and we're back in business.

thanks! Unfortunately for me, I wasn't aware of this site when I got my first Blackberry, and had to figure that one out for myself.

Yeah nice tip. I have yet to run into that problem with mine and we never see the issue in the store, except for that one day when the network was messed up. I guess the BB users in our area actually know what they're doing. Wish i could say the same for most of the cell users lol.
