Plus I have the added of bonus (and justification for the price of it) of saying "I got it so I can give my blackberry users the best and most up to date Tech Support available!"

My boss loves that crap.

Same for me...

When I saw this note I called my closest TMo store (50th & 3rd) and they quoted me $349.99 without a contract renewal. Then I called 52nd & Madison, and they quoted me $249.99 without a contract.

So I ran to the store before they figured out that some uninformed employee was giving out incorrect pricing. They had a guy at the door directing you to the manager, who was selling the device. She told me $349.99. When I told her that one of her employees had quoted me $249.99 over the phone 10 minutes earlier she said OK and sold it to me for the lower price. And I don't even have a TMo contract, it's a work device on a corporate group plan.

Upgrade price in My-Tmobile was $379. I'm leaving to the local store and I expect that's what I'll get stabbed with. :sigh:

I just picked up two units for my wife and I, but the rep said there was no info out yet about the rebate. Did anyone actually get the rebate form yet, or know where I can get it?

East Hanover, NJ.
T-Mobile retail store

Got an initial shipment of 15, I bought the second one they sold and a guy behind me was getting the third. They don't care about business account or personal consumer, and they don't care about a contract or not.

$250 w/ 2-year contract or extension, minus $50 mail-in rebate. You have to cut off the UPC end of the box for the rebate. I got the form from the rep who sold it to me. Picked up a 1 GB micro-SD card at CompUSA (very few TMO retail stores have 'em) for $90. No case, which we all knew.

Comes with a CD of Blackbery User Tools (haven't installed yet), Getting Started Guide, Reference Guide, Tips & Tricks card, warranty booklet, wall charger, mini-USB syncing cable, and black ear buds. The audio plug is smaller than what the iPod uses so your iPod earphones/ear buds will not work with the Pearl.

So in summary:

$349 retail price

$249 POS price with 2 yr contract

$299 POS price with 1 yr contract

$50 MIR with 1 or 2 year contracts.

If you UPGRADE ONLINE the cost is:

$249 POS price with 2 yr contract extension (note: no 1 year option available online upgrade)

$50 MIR with 2 year contract

To upgrade online with NO CONTRACT EXTENSION they are charging $379

I paid $349 for my phone in the store with NO CONTRACT EXTENSION. Funny how they charge $30 more than the "retail" price for their loyal customers if they upgrade online.

I just got quoted $429 at T-Mobile in San Diego... Anyone know if it's possible to get it lower? I'm not a T-Mobile customer .. Just a Cingular customer who will also have to figure out how to unlock the thing.
