Hello,

We've got a naive one here!

I recently got a second hand blackberry. I need to unlock it in order to use it with my mobile service provider. I know there are plenty of places I can take it to and get it unlocked, but I'd like to try doing it myself (without having to pay ).

If someone could kindly share some step by step info. I would greatly appreciate it.

I guess I didn't explain myself too well. I know HOW to unlock my phone. I just need to know where i could find the generated "key" in order to complete the unlocking process. I know there are plenty of online sites that offer this "key". But I'm not too fond of paying to such sites.

If anyone could pass along some info and tips. Once again, it would be greatly appreciated.

Only legal way to get the key for free is to contact the original carrier that sold the BB and get the unlock code from them.
