Default Largest BES User base?

Please Login to Remove!

there's been several people posting on here having several x'000s of users but does anyone know what the largest number of deployed BB users for one company / group of companies.

just curious..

I've got 15 users, so I'm not exactly going to be near the top of the list!!!

Interesting one. I've just had a look at what you can order from RIM and the largest single CAL is 100 users. I'm sure there used to be one that was a 1000 user CAL - could be wrong though.

I'd love to know, but if it was me I'd want to start splitting the BES user base across multiple physical BES servers once it starts getting near a four digit figure.

I want to say that Stinsonddog once said that his employer has 12,000, or some other insanely high number.

There's a 500 CAL option for about $22,500-27,499 depending on where you purchase it from. There are 1000 CALs in existence but not to the general public.

If you consider all the various branches together, the US Government is the largest deployment by far. Other than that, I know of a compnay (not mine) that has around 30,000 devices and somthing like 35 BES (put's my 3200 users/ 15 BES to shame).

I have returned from WES2006 and I always meet up with a friend who manages over 16,000 devices and is growing. They add about 120 devices a month I work in an enviroment with 2 BES servers and 620 users.

I saw someone post earlier about having 750 users on 89 exchange servers. Here's the link http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=36626

Default Percentages?

I am curious what the larger install base people here have as a ratio between employees and blackberry users. With 370 Berries across 30 Exchange servers, we are only at 3% of our total of ~14,000 employees.

These are some very impressive numbers. How many of you guys who have over 1000 BB's have a Goodlink user base? I am very curious to know.

We're about 25 employees and 12 BB users which makes us around 50%, although as we sell them we need to practice what we preach, and we have a very high percentage of 'customer facing staff' - in fact there's probably only one or two people who don't talk to customers during any given week.

A senior RIM guy indicated to me that they aim for a large corporate penetration of 15-20% of employees, althought I think that depends on the nature of the customer and the focus of their business - surely consultants would have a greater BB penetration than say a manufacturing co.

Impressive. Of our 3500 or so, only the top brass is issued a BB. That's about 7 people. The IT guys kinda get ecstatic when any of the rest of us happen to walk by with one....next thing you know, you're being activated, lol!!

I would say about 100 other members have a BB....we just don't tell the Brass

I know of one installation here locally with over 10,000 users. As a side note, one of our largest is about 13,000.
