Default Need help with Rogers SIM Card

Please Login to Remove!

I currently have a plan for my Rogers LG Xenon, I was planning to buy an unlocked BlackBerry Curve 8310 online. Would my Rogers SIM card for the Xenon work right away when I insert it into the BlackBerry?

It should, yes.

However, if you find any issues, just drop by a Rogers retailer and ask for a SIM swap for a new SIM.

You will need the BlackBerry Data Plan on your Rogers account for the BlackBerry.

So I can't use the BlackBerry without the BlackBerry plan? Because I won't be using those application that use data. Just calling and texting.

You'll be fine. Rogers hasn't turned the way of US companies yet where they force add data plans when using a smartphone.

Unless your getting a subsidy on the hardware with a new contract, you won't be required to take data.

If you try to use it, you will be prompted to purchase a data daypass for 2.99 for 20mb.

You can use the sim just fine for calling and texting, though Rogers cannot garuntee support for grey market phones.

I've just talked to an online representitive of Rogers. They said it would be fine and if any problems just come to them. Also I can return the phone where I got it if it doesnt work.
Thanks for the help.
