I'm thinking about this on Voda.
Anyone have experience of the blackberry service on Vodafone? I'd be switching from O2.
Thanks in advance

Just my 2p, but I've always found Voda's BB service excellent, both in terms of performance and support.

They also have some good deals at present, with BIS + 500Mb browsing free on some tariffs - not just the most expensive ones either.

Despite being told on Monday that they had had some but that they were all gone, this morning I was told they've never had any but that they're expected daily (ie y'day they were expected today, today they're expected tomorrow).

Anyway, I've got one ordered on my account, to be sent as soon as they come in. I don't think I'll hold my breath while I wait.

Interesting. I'd always thought the hardware was identical, it was just the provisioning that differed between BIS and BES.

That's what I thought.

Mine's ordered without BES or BIS, just the Vodafone calls, texts and internet/email, I wonder if that's a third hardware version!

The hardware within the phone will remain the same, they are just configured differently. It is possible that they are configured using the Vodafone modified version of the OS, maybe the version of the OS that uses only BIS without the BES configurations isn't available to Vodafone yet so they cannot load it onto their Bolds. This is just speculation deduced from the last few posts, I cannot clarify the credibility of my opinion/view or the previous posts.

What's the branding like Ian? I take it you have vodafone on the outside but how about the menus?

How does that work? - you cant get internet access without a BES/BIS account, as it wont have an APN?

Gave it to me for free too, despite being told earlier in the week that they couldn't.
