Please Login to Remove!

This can also be done using desktop manager too.

after moving and renaming the file, all you have to do is go through the update process and DM will see you added the .COD and will update the core application.

chasescott66, forget about jl_cmder,i guess you dont need it. Just find that file in the old OS folder i told you about, and copy it into the java folder of the 4.5.0.77 OS, and make sure to rename it as i told you before. Then just use desktop manager and have it update your software, after that a battery pull should fix you right up.

I did this method last night (after John Clark posted the code) and it worked like a charm...Also, it does seem as though the volume is (finally) louder...happy days!

As I was loading it on to my Blackberry and said unable to reconnect and now it wont turn on. The red light will flash twice every 5 seconds. What have I done? Is my Blackberry bricked?

ummm, i doubt its bricked for good but it does sound like your install went bad. You will probably need to wipe the handset and try again, here are instructions how to do this:

xttp://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-do-i-recover-dead-blackberry-32322/

sorry about the xttp, it wont let me post a link until i have 10 messages.

For some reason the "net_rim_bb_medialoader_qualcomm.cod" is missing from the .51 folder. Only have the doc to go rename file there. Found a file with the same name is the BB_JDE 4.5 folder. Can this be use.
Please post the command line that should be type when installing this file. DM 4.5 does not recognize the file when i rename (add 8830.cod) it.
On the txt file that open when choose 6 (command-line usage) what is "Specifies the baud rate (serial handhelds only)"?

downloaded 8830uAMEA_PBr4.5.0_rel101_PL3.2.0.51_A4.5.0.77.exe (size 69,795,960) and installed. Followed the COD rename/battery pull - ringer works. Was previously running 4.2 - really digging the new OS. On a Lotus Notes BES and Enterprise Activation has completed without issue including restoration of all my old data.

The new media player actually reads ALL the file on my 4GB SDHC card - previously it didn't show some of the files when I tried to view by Album / Genre etc...

Ditto, here!

I was hoping it would fix the pause before answering, however, that does not seem to be the case for me anyway!

Question

When I select About from the RIM Options menu, nothing happens -- the device log shows the following exception:
Java Exception - NullPointerException (net_rim_bb_options_app)
Strange!

Register the app, then Check for Updates from the app menu -- the update will include Sheets To Go (aka "Excel"), too!
