Lightbulb SUCCESS!!! 8525 + tmobile + bbconnect

Please Login to Remove!

let me start out by saying i know nothing about windows mobile.

my 8525 came today while i was at work. i bought it unlocked so it was ready to go.

i threw my sim card in and fired it up.

I didn't know to much about how to do this, just some searching the past 2 nights and alot of worries this would not work or would be a nightmare.

it was a breeze.

INTERNET:
i changed my apn to wap.voicestream.com as you would on a blackberry.
my web was up and running in no time. but i can not get the E for edge, it will only show G. Not sure what speeds im really getting.

my texting worked fine.

i then tried a quick bt transfer with my 8100 with no luck. the paired but i could not get it to work. no big deal, ill work on that another night.

AIM:
i did an ota install of agile messenger and it works great. I am a big fan of verichat on my berry, but this program is nice.

WIFI:
it picked up my airport network when i walked in my house. Put in my password and it was up and running. worked well.

GRIPE. my other AP is a non broad casted SSID. i can not figure out how to manually put in a SSID, i can get the cursor in the area but it will not allow me to enter anything. HELP?

NOVI REMOTE:
i installed the premium version and i can not get it to work. I tried to load the presets and also tried self programming. nothing works and ill try it again later. I really want to get this working.HELP!

BB CONNECT:
i installed bb connect via usb and fired it up. it said connected right away. Signed on to tmobile and it knew i changed my PIN. HIt accept, send my books and i am up and running.

Everything works well but there are some bothers.

I now have 5 mail boxes.
blackberry address
mms
text
outlook
system(no idea where this came from)

it would be great if i can view them in the same screen as they come in instead of chasing messages thru folders.

I have my griped with the phone, and as a message machine, its no comparison to a berry. I'm trying it out as i like the phone alot just not the os.

cliff notes.
change apn to wap.voicestream.com
installed bbconnect
everything worked.
no other changes.
