Default I'm out in Houston

I am getting the infamous "data connection refused" in Houston. Started about 15 minutes ago.

It's definitely down again in Houston. Looking over our BES, I see that the last contact time is about 3:15 PM for most Texas users, though one or two show the current time. My Blackberry is showing lowercase 3g, and has no data since 3:08 PM CST.

Jeeze! Twice in one week!! That's not fair... I know the people at AT&T work their butts off, but this is a bit extreme. Maybe they will give you all a service credit if you complain. (Not advocating that you harass AT&T)

Did we ever find out the reason for the last outage in TX?

It was a fiber cut.

Here's the response we got.

Issue & Customer Impact: There is a fiber cut in Houston, TX. 2 G and 3 G customers may experience latency or no service in both voice and data services. This cut is located near the previous cut took place on 02/02/09. - Current Status: ATTLD splicing crew are in route to the site ETR is 10 minutes. Traffic on one of the affected OC 192 circuits is being rerouted from Houston. ATTLD is also working on rerouting traffic off of OC 192 . Houston RNC 1 and Houston RNC 5 are locked down

Been working all day for me, up until about 5 minutes ago. Googled my frustrations and found this, haha. But yeah, down for me in the DFW area.
