Default BB Pearl and BMW are paired but voice dial doesn't work

Please Login to Remove!

My Pearl is awesome as is my 2006 M3 BMW. After some frustration I got the T-Mobile phone to pair with the car (had to disable the phone book but other than that it works fine). Only problem is the voice dialing doesn't work when paired. Does anyone know how to cure this? I can press the voice dial button on the phone and the screen pops up asking for the command but it can't hear me say anything and it does not emit any sound through either the phone's speaker or the car speaker.

Thanks in advance for any help, advice, cures....

Not an expert in this area and maybe this is understood (or obvious) but does your BMW support VAD through BT?

Me too - 2005 3-series and Pearl from T-Mobile. I have the same type of problem. One thing I noticed, and waiting to visit the dealership to see if they can do something about it, with my old Motorola HS820 BT device, I have the following services available: Hands-Free Unit, Headset, and Serial command. With my BMW BT I only have one service available - hands free. I see these when I look at the device properties in my BB. I wonder if the dealership is supposed to turn on one of these services before we get what we need.
