Default Can't get Bluetooth xp stack to work

Please Login to Remove!

Hi can anyone help me I can't get the Bluetooth windows XP stack to work I have tried to reinstall the bth.inf file but having no joy so can anyone out there HELP me please !!!!!! I have been working at this for hours & hours now and its driving me mad I love my pearl and the icing on the cake would be to be able to Sync by Bluetooth

I had to edit bth.inf for the BT adapter I use (Kensington). Have you done this? It is documented on the forum here...I don't have a link to it but a search should find it.

Yea I had done this but not sure if it's right or not, where can I get the exact name for the Bluetooth adapter I use so far I have found 4 different names

Are you using an external adapter or Bluetooth built into a PC? If it's internal, perhaps Windows Device Manager will indicate it. If it's external, it should appear on the adapter somewhere.

Hey RoadRider

Thanks for the reply I am using an external usb one but it was a cheap one made by IVT BlueSoleil but marketed under Nikkai, so I have just come back from the store with an Belkin one but the same problem with it, If I try to install it its still locking for the drivers of the cd, any ideas

Don't forget to modify the bth.inf for your new adapter. Have done a search here for bth.inf? Should provide the info you need for modifying this file.

Right i had another go it it and heres the message i get,

Windows colud not load the installer for Bluetooth. Contact your hardware vendor for assistance.

what ever that meens ?

any help out there
