Does anyone know whether the new 12 GB cards will work with OS4.5?

Many thanks in advance.

Please read the FAQ. This has been discussed over and over again.

What type and size Media Card can I use in my device? - BlackBerryFAQ

* BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 Up to 2GB
* BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 Up to 4GB
* BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 Up to 4GB
* BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 Up to 8GB (edit: now ver 4.5.0)

I remember reading someplace that up to 32gb will eventually be supported. Have yet to see or hear about such a card however.

16gb works with 4.5 on the 83xx series.
the 8330 also has more internal memory - 96mb AND upgraded RAM, from 16 to 32mb

I am currently running v4.5.0.18 on my BlackBerry and have had no problems using the 8GB MicroSHDC card. I have heard that the 12 and 16GB MicroSDHC cards work well with the 83xx series running 4.5 so I'm debating on getting a bigger memory card for my BlackBerry.

Do you save computer files or something on your phone?

I like to have a lot of music for the long car rides, flights, etc... I don't have to carry my iPod around with me anymore.

The BB works great as an MP3 player, but if you're listening to it and you get a message/call/sms, etc it will stop your song to play the notification. I'm sure if you put it on silent/vibrate it would be fine.

There's a great app called FlipSide for Blackberry and it's a great mp3 player program. If you're planning to use your blackberry as an mp3 player, I recommend buying it.

I am running an 8330 with os 4.3.0124 which has the 96MB internal memory and I am using an 8GB sandisk memory card that I got from ebay for under $60 shipped to Canada. I have experienced no lag or any other problems with this setup.
