Hi,

This is my fourth Blackberry Bold 9000 and the only one that throws an random error: "Uncaught exception: Index -1> =28"

I have wiped the phone, upgraded OS to version 5, then piece by piece put everything back on instead of just loading the back up. I still get this error Uncaught exception: Index -1> =28.

It seems to be random, but I have seen it occur a couple times on hard reboot (pulling battery) and when unlocking the device. It seems to come in waves...it will be ok for a couple weeks then I see it a couple times a day for a couple days. Been happening for about 3 months.

Hi, the uncaught exception is message from cpu, it caused from application os, or any trouble in some ic parts. The mayor of mobile phone are sensible to ESD, and maybe you need to clean your phone using a ultrasonic cleaner. WARNING: if you don´t have experience on that don´t do it! it can be seriously damage your phone. I solved this error with cleaning phone and updating os after the clean.
