Do you know if you have the MMS service book? Also can you receive them? What error or issue are you having? Have you tried a battery pull? Also you can try resending service books.

MMS is not supported on the Sprint 8130. You can send pictures via email.

Is this all Sprint phones, just Blackberrys, or just 8130? Can't believe it doesn't have MMS, doesn't make a lot of sense

There's no MMS service book. I tried resending the service books.
There has been no error. I don't even have the MMS option just e-mail and sms.
I'll have some one send me some MMS text.

Just had an on-line chat with customer service on the Sprint website and they said the blackberry does not support mms. I told them it does on verizon, and then they confirmed it was a sprint configuration issue

Not having MMS seems like it kind of sucks. The phone is certainly capable of it. Most everyone has it. The camera is 2MP, which makes me want to send pictures more often than with my old phones.

So what happens if someone sends me an MMS message. Well answer, I just had a friend send me one(from their Sprint phone =P), it sends a text message with a link to some Sprint site where the picture is

This is kind of ridiculous. Why would they block MMS? It doesn't make sense to me. It's not like there's a financial gain for doing it, they don't sell a separate MMS product.

I know that there are people who found workarounds to this on the Sprint Treos by using different SMS apps. Hopefully someone will find a similar solution for the Blackberry.

I'm bent. If I knew of this "issue" before I bought mine Pearl, I would have probably bought the 755 and waiting for the Curve to come out.

Barrera, join the "prayer" group. Some good sources here say Sprint Curve COULD be released Q1 '08. Please Sprint, drop it now.

well that would be nice. i've never owned a blackberry before but i really like the style of the curve. This weekend i'm buying the pearl. It seems to be a great phone while im waiting for the curve and who knows...maybe i will like it better? Not sure about why you have to send pictures through email...thats not cool but im hoping the phone as a whole makes up for that.

I just got off the phone with a Sprint BlackBerry rep who told me that MMS is not a feature available for BlackBerry phones, at least not for the new Pearl. Sending pictures via email is still part of the BB Data Pack, but as far as sending pictures from one mobile device to another mobile device isn't going to happen. She told me they were "working on getting that feature made available" so to check back periodically and ask about it. So right now, we Sprint Pearl users are stuck with forwarding picture media via email only. Not sure about the other BB models since I didn't ask if this was just something affecting the Pearls or not.

I know with my 7130e, when I got a picture mail from someone, it was the link in a text to a site on the web that had the picture. I'm having a friend send me a picture mail from her phone and I'll finish this post whenever that gets here.............................

Ok, its the same as with the 7130e. You get a text message with a link you have to follow which takes you to a website that has allows you to view the picture.

Well I had a Verizon one for a trial period and my only complaint was the GPS lockdown. Now I have the Sprint version and my only complaint is the lack of MMS. And I'll take the GPS over MMS I guess.

Everything else is great, I'd rather have this than an iPhone, it does so much and it's a great size. It's an amazing little thing that can do so much. 3G makes the internet actually usable - very fast. You're gonna like it!
