No, that doesn't turn off the keypad tone when you are dialing a number. I should have clarified. I am trying to prevent the keypad tone when dialing a number.

No, most current models of BB will not silence the DTMF tones from the phone dialer.

New OSs not available yet will allow the keytones to be quiet while in the Quiet Profile.
